ALPHA PHI FOUNDATION
PUTTING THE PHI IN PHILANTHROPY
Our mission of advancing women’s lives through the power of philanthropy is put into action through our five vital programs.
Through the generosity of donors, Alpha Phis are provided the opportunity and access to transformative leadership experiences. They receive the life-changing renewal and encouragement of an academic scholarship or Forget Me Not Grant. With your help, Alpha Phis invest in the advancement of women’s cardiac research and care and preserve the rich heritage of Alpha Phi Fraternity.

RED DRESS GALA
Each spring we host our annual Red Dress Gala which is a night we invite our family, friends, and alumnae to share in this cause that we keep so close to our hearts. We have auction items, raffles, food, and fun to raise money for The Alpha Phi Foundation. Since 2011, the Beta Beta chapter has raised over $115,000 from the help and support of our generous community.
The annual Heart to Heart Grant awards $100,000 to medical professionals to better understand heart disease in women—specifically its symptoms, treatment, and prevention. Since its inception in 1993, the grant has funded over 30 cutting-edge projects focused in the improvement of women’s cardiovascular care.

CHAPTER SERVICE
The Beta Beta chapter’s passion for donating time to community service is incredible. Our members go above and beyond by volunteering at numerous local organizations such as hospitals, food pantries, and environmental clean up groups. We want to be sure we support those in need and give back to our community through service.
Generosity is one of Alpha Phi's high ideals in which our chapter takes great pride. We have relationships with multiple local organizations and dedicate our time and service to them throughout the year. Every few months we participate in an East Lansing clean up, where we visit local neighborhoods to pick up trash to ensure a clean environment for families to live in. During the holiday season, we also volunteer at local food pantries to help package and hand out food. As well as contributing to our local community, we make an effort to become involved with larger charity organizations such as Relay for Life. Through community service, our chapter is not only able to give back to our community, but to simultaneously explore even more ways we can give back. The women of Beta Beta are constantly pushing each other to be the best that we can be for our local community and beyond. We want to be sure we support those in need and give back through our time and service.
